In 2019, vinyl record sales increased for the 14th consecutive year. In fact, 26% of all physical albums purchased last year were vinyl according to Billboard — pretty impressive for a medium that was nearly wiped out in the 90s. For over 15 years, Culture Clash has been a Toledo staple. The shop is undergoing an exciting change as they recently moved into a new downtown location. They're working hard to open the new storefront, so make sure to follow their page for updates. Owner Tim Friedman has said that they will be ready to participate in Record Store Day events. No Noise Records had its grand opening in 2019. Owner Rob Kimple previously owned Ramalama Records on West Central for over a decade. His newest addition to Toledo's record store scene buys, sells, and trades records, stereo equipment, CDs and tapes.
